A new film about the late Apple founder is beginning its pre-production and is currently searching for extras in the Bay area.  The new movie, tentatively titled “Steve Jobs,” is based upon the biography written by Walter Isaacson with the same title.  The casting call was released by Beau Bonneau Casting for San Francisco locals to fill various extra roles that will be reoccurring throughout a few scenes in the film.  The project will begin filming in January of 2015 and continue through April.  Beau Bonneau casting is looking for background actors that have an extremely flexible schedule and also are willing to grow out, or have, longer hair due the fact that the film is based in the 80’s and 90’s.  Also, automobiles from this time period are being sought for use in the movie.

The movie will be largely centered on the launches of three groundbreaking Apple products.  More excitingly the film is slated to be directed by one of the best in the business; Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, Trainspotting).  The role of Steve Jobs was at one point rumored to up for either Leonardo DiCaprio or Christian Bale, however both would pass up the role.  From there the role would make its way to Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Prometheus).  The role of Steve Wozniak, Apple’s co-founder, will be played by Seth Rogan (The Interview, Knocked Up).  There also the rumor that the movie will also feature Kate Winslett (Titanic, Divergent), but as of right now her role in the film is unknown.
