History of the Character
The Black Panther is a fictional character that was created by Jack Kirby and the comic book legend Stan Lee. The character for the Black Panther first appeared in the July 1966 edition of Fantastic Four which was numbered edition number 52. The Black Panther is the first mainstream black Super Hero in Marvel’s comic books. This character debuted way before early African American super heroes such as the Falcon and Luke Cage or DC Comic’s Green Lantern John Stewart or Black Lightening were introduced.
The Black Panther is basically the king of the remote African country and their best warrior which is why he has been bestowed with the title of the Black Panther. The Black Panther is a title which is hereditary. The current Black Panther is a billionaire, scientist, philanthropist, ruler, diplomat and super hero. The country that he rules is called Wakanda and it is a technologically advanced country. It is the same country that is home to the iron Vibranium which Captain America’s shield is made from.
