Now Casting Extras for Step Sisters in Atlanta

A dance comedy film, “Step Sisters” has started filming in Atlanta. So, all those who have been looking for extra roles in a comedy film should be on high alert as the casting call has been issued for multiple roles. The casting directors, Jamie Lynn Catrett and Rose Locke Casting are looking for paid background extras. The comedy film is entering production from this month and will carry on till July. Some of the featured roles have to present themselves on multiple dates so make sure that you can commit before applying. The list of roles and the dates on which the actors will be required on the set is mentioned below.

Charles Stone of “Drumline” will be directing the film. It is a “The Broad Green Film” project which will be produced by Matt Alvarez of “The Ride along” and “Straight Outta Compton”. Benjamin Cory Jone of “Hand of God” and Lena Waithe of “Dear White People” and “Master of None” are also producing the comedy film. Josh Reinhold will be serving as an executive producer.

Step Sisters revolves around an ambitious young African American sorority college girl played by Megalyn Echikunwoke. Her desperation to get into a desired law school makes her cross cultural boundaries. She consents to teach the unique art of Black Greek stepping to a handful of wild and party-loving white sorority young ladies whose charter is about to get rescinded.

It is expected that the movie will hit the theaters in 2017. Other cast members include Matt McGorry of “Orange is the New Black” & “How to Get Away with Murder”, Natauri Naughton of “Power”, Eden Sher of “The Middle”, Marque Richardson of “Dear White People”, Alessandra Torresani of “The Big Bang Theory”, Gage Golightly of “Red Oaks” and Lyndon Smith of “Parenthood”.

Casting Call For Comedy Feature Film

Dates are mentioned along with the roles. Please ascertain your full day availability before applying. Also note that the movie will be filming in Atlanta so only locals should apply. The pay rate for the roles is $64/8 unless it is specified otherwise.

Featured Roles

The featured roles will be selected by the directors themselves. This indicates that the photo submissions that you make have to be outstanding and appropriate. Strictly note down that selfies, group photos and yearbook photographs will not be entertained. The photos should have a clear background and no landscape features etc. should be visible in the backdrop. The pictures ought to be recent, clear and well-lit. One close-up (not a selfie) and one full length picture at least must be submitted.

Male of any ethnicity aged 18-24 years is required. The candidate should have experience with video making gear.

Age, ethnicity and role description:

Candidates of any ethnicity aged 21-35 years with real bartending experience can apply.

Age, ethnicity and role description:

African American candidates aged 18-35 years possessing a studious and intellectual look to play the role of a judge at a dancing show can apply.

Candidates of any ethnicity aged 18-25 years are required to play the role of press photographers. The candidates should know how to handle and use a professional camera. The actors will not be required to take actual pictures but should know how to change the settings and handle a professional camera properly on the screen.

  1. Male/Female College Students #1

Age, ethnicity and role description:

Candidates belonging to any ethnicity aged between 18-25 years are required to play the role of students who are a part of a grassy quad. The scene will be packed with fun and action with lots of dancing and movement. There is a possibility that the candidates selected will be booked for two more days.

Age, ethnicity and role description:

  1. Males to Play Fathers

Age, ethnicity and role description:

Candidates belonging to any ethnicity aged between 36-45 years are required to play the role of fathers of college students.

Age, ethnicity and role description:

Candidates belonging to any ethnicity aged between 36-55 years are required to play the role of parents of college students.

  • Should be available to work on both the days.

Submission Details

In order to submit to the aforementioned roles, send at least 3 recent photos taken in a well-lit space. The photos must be clear. Attach the photographs in the email and state in the body the following details:
