Feature Film “Sprinter” Needs Extras for a Marathon

The casting team for a new movie needs actors, models, and talent to work on the upcoming feature film, Sprinter. Producers are looking for very experienced male and female sprinters to act in a marathon scene.

The story follows Akeem, a 17-year-old Rastafarian teenager and track athlete. His goal is to qualify for the national youth team and go to the World Youth Championships in Philadelphia. Akeem hopes reunite with his mother that’s been living in Philly illegally for 10 years.  It is a heartwarming tale about dreams versus expectations and reality.

“American Made” Casting Athletic Actors for Roles

Tom Cruise’s new movie American Made is now casting men to play fighters and boxers in a small scene. Casting directors are also looking for young, athletic and ex-military types with gun experience to work on the scenes as extras.

The movie titled, American Made is based on a true story about Barry Seal.  Seal was a famous pilot in the 1980’s that transported contraband for the CIA and Medellin cartel. He was eventually shot and killed in Baton Rouge.  The film was originally set to be titled, Mena, but was recently changed.  Mena, Arkansas is where a majority of the drug trafficking took place under the noses of several government officials and police officers.

Margot Robbie’s Movie Casting Several More Extras

Casting teams for a feature film need actors to play boxing coaches, judges, boxers, and spectators to work on scenes in I, Tonya.  This film is about the 1994 Olympic Figure Skating controversy between Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan.  Kerrigan was attacked by a man and was injured prior to the championship trails.  The attack was linked back to Harding’s husband, and chaos ensued.

Margot Robbie will be the main star in this promising film based on a true story.  She will play Tonya Harding during the most controversial Olympic event to date.  When all was said and done, Tonya Harding struck a plea agreement, admitting to conspiring to hinder prosecution, and was banned from U.S. Figure Skating and stripped of her 1994 U.S. Championship.

The Official List of 89th Academy Award Nominations

The biggest film and TV related award show is coming up very soon!  The 89th Academy Awards is only one month away and will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Since 1929, the world gathers to find out what the prestigious film academy believes are the best movies and performances of the year.  Last year, we saw Spotlight take home the Best Picture Award and Leonardo Dicaprio win his first Oscar for his role in The Revenant.  This year, we have seen several great individual performances, but there is no clear favorite for many of the categories.

Is La La Land the Favorite to win Best Picture?

La La Land is a romantic musical drama starring Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, and J.K. Simmons.  It is about a musician and aspiring actress that fall in love in Los Angeles.

During the Golden Globes, we saw La La Land dominate the show winning seven total awards.  But the hype for the beloved musical has not died down one bit as La La Land was officially nominated for 14 Oscars, making it the favorite for the biggest film of the year.

“Pitch Perfect 3” Needs Actors for New Roles

Casting teams need background actors to work on the new feature film Pitch Perfect 3. They need to fill several roles as casting concludes and filming is set to begin.  Pitch Perfect 3 is an upcoming musical comedy and drama film directed by Trish Sie.  It is the third movie in the Pitch Perfect trilogy.  The film is scheduled to release about a year from now on December 22nd, 2017.

About

The films are about an a Capella competition at Barden University.  They compete against other groups during college in their quest to go to the national competition.  It is a hilarious musical filled with crude and witty jokes.  It features an ensemble cast including, Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp and more.
